On 13 March Andy Copping posted the list of bands exclusive to download on the official download forums "Slipknot, Faith No More, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Marilyn Manson, ZZ Top, eppMotley Crue, Def Leppard, Killswitch Engage, Billy Talent, Anvil" - however Billy Talent are performing Reading and Leeds Festivals and Faith No More have self-confirmed for the festivals as well.
It has been announced in an interview with Andy Copping that The Prodigy and Slipknot will not come to blows. There will be 5 minutes between when The Prodigy finish and Slipknot start.
Download Festival
The first Download Festival was taken place in 2003. The headliners were originally Iron Maiden and Limp Bizkit, although Limp Bizkit pulled out and were replaced by Audioslave. Metallica attempted to step in as headliners, but were unable due to already being headliners at that year's Reading and Leeds Festivals. Instead, they played an unannounced "secret slot" in the afternoon on the second stage.
