Download Festival organizer Andy Copping has not confirmed to Metallica

Download Festival's organizer Andy Copping said that he does not confirmed Metallica to perform in this year festival because they have toured the UK too frequently.

Copping's final decision that Def Leppard confirmed at the Festival in this June.

Speaking to RockAAA, the organiser said of his decision: "I booked Def Leppard because they deserve it, because they are big enough to do it."

Asked why he hadn't pursued Metallica, Copping responded by saying: "Metallica are a great band but if they went away for three or four years then came back then they'd be even bigger. When they keep coming back they become boring."

Copping added: "Metallica have toured extensively and have been here for seven of the last eight summers. For me that is definitely overdoing it."

Copping also reveal ruled Rammstein, Tool and Soundgarden making appearances at the festival.

Download Festival 2011 held at Donington Park over the weekend of June 10 and 12, which line-up by Def Leppard, System Of A Down and Linkin Park.
