Jim Burkitt, 24, of Preston with his heavy metal band Knock Out Kaine will be performing at the Download Festival.Jim, who performs under the stage name Jimmy Bohemian, said: “This is going to be the pinnacle of our career so far.
“We have performed at festivals across Europe but nothing as big and as renowned as Download.”
Jim, who also shares the Creme Grainstore Brewery in Oakham in 2003 the band was involved with winning the war against Download on playing a great year for the band said will increase.
They currently turns back from a European tour alongside band Adler’s Appetite, which is led by former Guns ‘n’ Roses drummer Steve Adler.
Jim, who is hoping to attend all three days of the festival, said: “Playing at Download has always been my dream and to be watching and sharing the same stage as some of my idols that I grew up listening too and learning from is just out of this world. I think we’ll all be nervous but hopefully the adrenaline will kick in and get us all through it.”
